NCDS dental meeting

I just attended a dental meeting put on by our local dental society, Northern California Dental Society. Our speaker Dr. Gillis gave us a nice overview of dental implant history and their success as well as failures. Understanding the complexities of dental implants and the pre-surgical planning is important for longterm success. One of the ways I feel is important to the planning process is using our New Tom cone beam digital scan to evaluate the height and width of available bone. The old adage’ “measure twice, cut once” works for dental implants.

It is very important to know the dental condition of patient before you go for a dental implant done, whether you need it or not. A health check up should be done and the age of the patient should also be kept in mind before deciding. Of course as mentioned above pre-surgical planning can make the implant highly successful and a digital scanning can be a great way for it. Thanks for the share!!

Yes, I totally agree that you need to check the patient’s condition before starting the dental implant procedure.

Yes, I also concur that you have to check the persistent’s condition before beginning the dental implant strategy.
